Preserving the historical significance of Oxnard, California

The Oxnard Heritage Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, is working to preserve the historical significance of Oxnard by increasing community awareness of the cultural richness with which Oxnard citizens are entrusted, utilizing the resources of today to preserve the treasures of yesterday and improve the quality of our tomorrow.

The Oxnard Heritage Foundation seeks to unite community leaders, business people, historians, teachers, and preservationists in a coalition approach to historic education and preservation advocacy through:

AWARENESS

Educational programs, tours, lectures and workshops on history, architecture and the benefits of historic preservation.

ADVOCACY

Advocating to save endangered buildings and developing alternative strategies to promote historic preservation including purchasing neglected properties and returning them to productive use.

ASSISTANCE

Helping building owners to restore their historic properties with consultation and referral services and supporting neighborhood and commercial revitalization.
